Plague Inc. - Review

"PLAGUE INC. THE BOARD GAME" is amazing!!  I've now played it twice now, once (3 player)  competitive, and once solo.  Both games were amazing!!  It is simple to setup and has clear and concise rules. This is a board game version of the top rated video game where you, the player takes on the role of a disease which you can mutate over time with the ultimate goal tp annihilate human life on Earth.

The board game plays a lot like the video game, only better.  It is a constantly changing area control game.  Each round a player calculates DNA points based on how many countries their disease controls, then you can spend them to upgrade or mutate your virus.  Next you infect cities and finally destroy countries when all of the cities have been infected and you it control it.

  In the end, the player with the most DNA points wins the game.

Plague Inc. comes with special solo rules with a solo playmat.   The SoloBot is a very difficult opponent, but plays differently from multiplayer.  I really enjoyed playing Plague Inc solo.  The solo game is very solid!!

PLAGUE INC. currently has an 8.0 on BGG and in my humble opinion, it has earned that score.
